commit a3f9c21 (HEAD -> present)
feat(lyft): IT Engineering Manager
10/2026 – Present · Lyft, Hamburg
I lead the European IT Engineering team (8 engineers) in Lyft's Corporate Engineering & IT
organization, after Lyft acquired Freenow. We own identity, devices, collaboration tools,
automation and office networks for Europe, and together with our colleagues in North America
we're building one global IT Engineering team.
Lyft integration: Moving everyone from Freenow onto Lyft's Atlassian,
Slack, Google Workspace and Okta while keeping daily operations running. Slack went live
about three months earlier than planned.
One global team: Setting up a shared way of working across two
continents, with the same sprint cadence, one roadmap for the business and clear owners
across time zones.
Everything as code: Managing identity, device and network configuration
in Terraform, with endpoint security and access reviews as the standard in both
regions.
Automation and AI support: More self-service, Workato automation and AI
support agents, so engineers have time for the work that really needs them.
Led the IT Solutions team (8 FTEs) and moved it from classic IT administration to systems
engineering, with more infrastructure as code and low-code automation.
Grew the team into systems engineers who work with infrastructure as code and
microservices.
Owned security, reliability and scaling of our core SaaS tools: Okta, Google Workspace,
Slack and Atlassian.
Ran client endpoint engineering (SimpleMDM, Intune) and identity & access management
for all offices.
Introduced Gemini and Atlassian Intelligence and used them to simplify internal
processes.
